The overall responsibilities of the Portfolio Specialist are to assist the Portfolio Manager and Compliance teams in maintaining and managing the RiseBoro affordable housing portfolio. Portfolio Specialists are responsible for supporting the Portfolio Manager with the overall maintenance of residential properties, supporting the Compliance Manager with the maintenance of tenant files, and acting as liaison between RiseBoro and tenant. Specific Responsibilities

  • Reports KPI’s to Portfolio Manager on a monthly basis

  • Ensures that all required filings and registrations are up to date across the portfolio

  • Assists with overseeing the day to day operations of each property

  • Assists in the processing of payables

  • Assists with reviewing, approving and executing all leases and move in packages: 120/90/60/30 lease renewals and follow up

  • Assists with overseeing all annual re-certifications for Rent Stabilization, LIHTC, HOME and Section 8 properties including data entry

  • Assists with maintaining all records, reports and files pertaining to tenants and buildings, including collecting any required paperwork from tenants

  • Assist with responding and following up on all tenant complaints and issues

  • Acts as a liaison between RiseBoro and Tenant in addition to establishing good relationships and consistent tenant/landlord engagement across the portfolio

  • Assist and review all records, reports, and files pertaining to tenants and buildings

  • Monitors all property violations including (DOB, FDNY, HPD or others) and assists with clearance and compliance

  • On call 24 hours for emergencies

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of Yardi a plus


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
