Pineapple Street Studios is hiring a Head of Operations to oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the company. This role will manage a team that works across finance, legal, marketing, and social media, while working closely with executive management to implement company wide systems and establish organizational policies. The Head of Ops will lead in larger strategic visions and managing partnerships. They will be working closely with ads ops, marketing and sales teams on new show launches, so ideally will have a basic understanding of podcast production operations. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership and successfully managed a team. They should be a creative problem solver, well organized and possess strong business acumen.
Responsibilities include:
Solving problems and managing processes and standards company wide
Implementing effective company wide operational systems for both short and long term objectives
Ensuring the overarching vision for company is being executed effectively and smoothly, and designing policies that reflect the vision
Spearheading larger strategic discussions and partnerships
Supervising a team that deals with operations, finance, marketing, and legal
Work with ad sales + traffic on show campaigns and manage new show launches
Working closely with legal to manage and negotiate contracts, specifically with podcast hosts and contractors
Ensuring adequate resources are allocated to projects
Overseeing expenses and budgeting for shows, as well as staffing
Overseeing the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization
Qualifications:
Applicants must be:
Skilled multi-taskers, problem solvers and project managers
Knowledgeable about the business of podcasting
Experienced navigators of both podcast production and producer-client relationships
Excellent and experienced team managers
Good communicators and negotiators
Creative thinkers, capable of developing creative approaches to familiar topics
7+ years working in podcasting
