Our Froedtert Health Clinic in Brookfield is seeking professional Medical Assistants or License Practicing Nurses to join our team in Family Medicine to work with all demographic in our busy clinic. SCHEDULE LOGISTICS Shift: Shift 1 FTE: .800000 FTE | 32 hours a week (64 hours per pay period) SCHEDULE: 7:45-3:45pm (Mon); OFF (Tues) 7:45-7:30pm (Wed); 7:45-4:30pm (Thurs); 6:45-3:15pm (Fri) *1.0 FTE is Full-Time, any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time, and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time* *Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of .8 - 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical, dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .799 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits* Shift: Shift 1 MEDICAL ASSISTANT Job Responsibilities: A Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. This individual is responsible for the following: Pre-visit planning Standard rooming responsibilities Assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and other duties as assigned. The medical assistant is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The medical assistant may be required to cross train and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required. One to two years of clinical experience is preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. In addition, individuals must meet one (1) of the following combinations of education and experience: A. A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate). - Additional certification through the AAMA and/or an equal certification board or certification is preferred. B. A graduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training.
