RedHat People Coordinator - Time & Absence team in Brno, Czech Republic
The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Time and Absence Specialist to join us in the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. In this role, you will advise on time tracking, leave and absence policies, procedures, and programs to Red Hat managers and associates. You will also carry out operational processes to ensure that Red Hat's programs are administered in accordance with HR processes, plan provisions, company policies, and legal requirements. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities
Support associate and manager time and absence program inquiries
Assist associates and managers with time and absence entry tasks
Support and maintain on-call program administration
Consult with associates and managers on system and business processes
Manage Tier 2 program escalations
Conduct Time and Absence program audits
Maintain program and system Tier 0 content
Review, validate, approve, initiate, and correct absence requests and time entries
Consult and enable managers on absence impacts
Maintain and adjust time and absence balances and accruals
Understand and articulate social security payments or reimbursements to associates, managers, and payroll
Administer and support leaves of absence, including but not limited to: support managers to prepare for associate’s absence, support associate throughout leave of absence, define leave of absence communications plan with associate, coordinate associate's return to work, and communicate with stakeholders
Investigate and resolve leave related pay issues
Partner with Payroll on time entry, leave, and pay related inquiries and trends
Demonstrated functional experience in HR Absence, time (time tracking, time entry, time & labor, time and attendance), or payroll roles
Basic to intermediate level of payroll administrative or process experience and capability gained in a multi-state environment (U.S.) or multi-countries environment like EMEA, Asia Pacific (APAC), or Americas
Appreciation of applicable labor laws and how they impact absence and time tracking in a multi-state or global environment
Ability to interpret and apply complex program rules and translate to system based transactions and processes
Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Solid understanding of accrual rules as it relates to vacation policies, including accrual in advance, derived from hours worked, and based on length of service is a big plus
The following are considered a plus:
Global payroll and time tracking or administration experience
Experience within a shared services environment
1+ year(s) of experience in time tracking software e.g., Workday, ADP, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of leaves, including FMLA, STD, LTD, and military leave
