An exciting career opportunity awaits for a Lead Commercial Engineer to join our team.

Reporting to the Oceania Commercial Engineering Leader, this role is an opportunity within our Services Business to join as a Commercial Engineer into our Commercial Fulfilment & Engineering(CF&E) team. The candidate will provide and assume responsibility for proposal activities, basic process designs, budgetary and final proposals. This position may require some travel.You will be the focal point for managing the bid and working with our Customer and Internal Stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Experience in costing / proposals for Operation and Maintenance and Service contracts

  • Any exposure toBOO/BOT contracts will be beneficial

  • Apply costing and process design strategies in deal positioning/project development for success

  • Adhering to all internal procedures related to bid preparation, proposal tracking

  • authorization of Order Packages and sales forecasting.

  • Review customer RFQ’s, specifications, and drawings.

  • Support development and closure of key deals to maximize revenue generation

  • Support Sales teams to properly structure a deal and optimize profitability through thorough understanding of the project life cycle costs and financing requirements where applicable

  • Support Sales teams to structure deals to combine equipment, services and specialty

  • chemicals and clearly develop & communicate value propositions for each Services offering

  • Support Sales teams in the continuous development and/or fine tuning of country specific business plans and market research.

  • Generate/Coordinate Process & Instrumentation Diagrams and General Arrangement Drawings

  • Lead the teams involved to hand over the contract to the project execution team;

  • Maintaining the process of the business to mitigate risk and verify a proposal

  • and negotiated contract is within Delegation of Authority (DOA).

  • Maintaining the tools (Sales Force, etc) are always updated and then reporting data accurately and on time;

  • Support Other Commercial Engineers & Functions from time to time.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

B.S. degree in an engineering (Chemical, Mechanical Electrical, or Environmental) discipline or related technical degree. Minimum 5 years of experiencein O&M/ Services projects/bids in water & waste-water treatment.

  • Energetic, team player with ability to drive bids.

  • Problem-solving ability with dedication to deadlines and commitments

  • Knowledge of Filtration, Ion Exchange, Membrane Separation Technologies and Membrane Process Equipment and the experience in running RO / EDIprojections, Filtration System dosing/chemical injection calculations will be highly regarded

  • Ability to manage multiple bids; prioritize workload, and delegate tasks.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups and customers, clients, and other employees of organization

  • Understanding of contract terms review and negotiations to close orders.

  • Technical writing skills and computer proficiency (e.g.SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Schedule).
