Sanofi Consumer Healthcare US is a leading marketer and manufacturer of a broad portfolio of branded over-the-counter (OTC) healthcare products, in such categories as allergy, upper and lower gastrointestinal, skin care, topical pain care, oral care and other OTC personal products. The US CHC portfolio includes well-recognized brands such as: Allegra, Nasacort, Xyzal, Dulcolax, Zantac, Gold Bond, Cortizone-10, Icy Hot, Aspercreme, Rolaids, ACT, etc.
The Director of Consumer Insights - Switch is an integral member of a self-contained, cross-functional agile team in support of development and commercialization of multiple Rx-to-OTC switch candidates, and a member of the NA Switch Commercial leadership team. He or she is responsible for representing the voice of the consumer in commercial, regulatory and medical strategy to achieve regulatory approval and successful launch. He or she will design and execute research, synthesize data sources, research outputs and market trends into best in-class insight and recommend action to support business strategies and decision making. By driving consumer-centricity and understanding of digital-first consumer behaviors, the CMI Lead, NA Switch will contribute to development of team agility behaviors and norms and ultimately successful execution.
Collaborate with brand marketing and cross-functional partners to create a learning plan / research roadmap that drives strategy and execution to maximize probability of regulatory approval and commercial value.
Ensure the research roadmap and budget align to key priorities for successful commercialization.
Incorporate best-in-class behavioral science and agile insights thinking into program to drive deep consumer understanding and brilliant execution; drive digital-first thinking into all aspects of research plan and commercial execution.
Ensure people (consumers, shoppers and experts) are at the heart of everything we do. Infuse “people-centricity” and champion the external view across our businesses. Drive “people centricity” in the day to day.
Be a trusted and close partner of the multifunctional teams including R&D, Medical, Regulatory, Trade & Shopper, Business Development & Licensing teams.
Lead the development, execution and delivery of custom research studies (qualitative and quantitative) including research design, supplier selection, questionnaire development, analysis, and share-out. Manage research projects to ensure delivery on time, cost effectiveness and quality.
Generate forward looking and predictive views of trends by understanding drivers of consumer behavior, articulate clear and compelling requirements for business action.
Connect the dots across multiple sources of data and information to generate insight and make meaningful recommendations that drive competitive advantage and growth.
Local to global: share & reapply best work, be an ambassador for the local consumers, shoppers and experts and enable global teams to develop winning brands & innovation.
Collaborates with analytics team on measurement findings and indicated actions.
Manage day-to-day activity and career development for one direct report (Sr. Manager) and contractor resources as necessary.
Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred
15+ years of professional experience with relevant consumer insight background
Experience in OTC, Rx to OTC switch preferred
Obsessed with building iconic and people-centric brand experiences; extensive experience with building outstanding brand assets (communications, visual identity, etc)
