Job Posting Title: Production Scheduler

  • Job Description Summary

Manage the weekly production scheduling our North American production facilities.

Position Overview

The Production Scheduler is expected to have responsibilities that cut across all functions within Supply Chain to assist in project management, to drive efficient operations, and for the overall development of Supply Chain capabilities

Key Responsibilities

Manage production schedules for both the commercial and residential businesses using the planning templates and JDE.

  • Work closely with the Supply Planner(s) to ensure the Customer and business expectations are achieved by meeting the supply plan and Master Production scheduleManage the intercompany finished goods transfers of assigned product categories

Reporting associated with Supply Planning/Scheduling

Drive the Demand Review cycle by managing the forecasting including reviewing historical sales, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data and regular reports, developing statistical forecast models.

Following standardized processes, to provide backup to teammates as needed.

Lead the analysis of key planning standards (production rates, safety stock, inventory targets etc.)

Participate with IKO’s Excellence projects that are key to achieving IKO’s strategic objectives with cross functional projects/assignments to improve interdepartmental (Logistics, Raw Materials & Customer Service) performance.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field required

1-3 years of work experience in a scheduling, demand management, capacity, and/or supply planning environment.

Experience with MRP, large scale ERP, or planning systems.

Highly proficient with MS Office, especially MS Excel and data visualization tools.

Must have an excellent understanding of the upstream and downstream supply chain process.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Ability to work cooperatively across multiple functions.

Comfortable with team-based work structure; ability to demonstrate flexibility on the job.

Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.

Very strong analytical, organizational, decision making and presentation skill.

Certificates - APICS or other forecasting/Supply Chain Certification preferred.

Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt) an asset.
