The Role: Associate Director– Third Party Risk Governance & Oversight

The Team: Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management this role will be responsible for working in close alignment and partnership with Procurement, Vendor Management, Third Party Risk Management, Divisional Risk Management, and other divisional & functional leaders across the organization.

The Impact: As a member of the Enterprise Risk Management Team, the Third-Party Risk Governance and Oversight Manager will be key in establishing and driving a robust governance and oversight program to support the organization’s overall risk approach.

  • Direct implementation of third-party risk governance and risk reporting standards including communication of those standards.

  • Execute second line governance activities including risk assessment, exception management and ongoing monitoring oversight of third-party risk.

  • Enhance the reporting framework to monitor, measure and report on enterprise, divisional and functional third-party risk.

  • Act as an escalation route and communication channel for colleagues and suppliers, ensuring all risks and concerns are addressed in a timely and collaborative way.

  • Track performance of Key Risk and Performance Indicators (KRIs/ KPIs) and other metrics related to third party risk.

  • Produce executive level reports that communicate the efficacy of oversight strategies and overall health of the third-party risk profile through clear and concise reporting.

  • Ensure appropriate systems are updated, remediation action plans to address third party control weaknesses are documented and resolved on time.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on complex risk issues and act as a business partner with departments that support the TPRM process such as Information Security, Privacy, Compliance, Finance, etc.

What We’re Looking For :

Basic Qualifications:

  • Established expert in Risk Management with at least 5+ years of experience in a Vendor/Third Party Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management or comparable risk and control experience.

  • Strong experience implementing and operationalizing risk frameworks.

  • Ability to develop ideas independently and translate them into executive level concise presentations and reports.

  • Proficiency in data analysis. Example: identifying relevant sources of data, performing analysis and report on findings.

  • Track record of global, cross-country collaboration to address risk related issues across lines of business, functions, and geographies.

  • Ability to build effective working relationships throughout the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required

  • Ability to meet deadlines and expectations with little or no supervision.

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement at different levels of an organization.

  • Highly detail oriented and critical thinking skills.

  • Working knowledge of risk management best practices and/or principles.

  • Ability to effectively respond to shifting priorities and assignments.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office suite -- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $114,100.00 to $206,350.00. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
