Liberty Mutual Physical Security Consultant in Boston, Massachusetts

Liberty Mutual seeks a Physical Security Consultant.

Applies specialized expertise that contributes to the vision and strategy of physical security solutions in the corporate environment as well as provides project management oversight specific to the various functions of Security Operations, its interactions with other risk management functions and applicable services to business partners and employees. Conducts specialized work under minimal direction and mentorship from manager on more complex tasks such as industry benchmarking projects, Security Operations Center initiatives, intelligence gathering and analysis, physical security system/design and related security policies.

Responsibilities:

  1. Build relationships with key partners to cultivate program support and ensure future state security solutions add value to our partners and end-users

  2. Contribute to the vision and strategic direction for the physical security technology portfolio

  3. Support senior management by identifying risks and ensuring the smooth continuance of business functions and integrations with other technical security platforms across the enterprise

  4. Lead working groups to address physical security operations, strategies, risks, and product support as needed

  5. Builds the business case for making a change to current practices, programs or procedures. Conducts current state assessment, opportunity assessment, cost/benefit analysis, feasibility assessment, etc.

  6. Partners with the business, to include ES&BC teams, Business Units and Real Estate Services on the design, testing, implementation, and evaluation of process improvement projects. May lead or partner with management on implementation and evaluation of business process changes, often considered of a large scope (e.g., function-wide).

  7. May be responsible for standard work components and special projects regarding risk management functions for physical security assessment, design and implementation, threat management casework, policy governance and quality assurance.

  8. Prepare executive level reports to track and meet project targets and budgets, raise issues and roadblocks, and recommend solutions to resolve challenges

  9. Partners with systems specialist on technology solutions and provides mentoring on standard methodologies.

  10. Responsible for ensuring the continued effectiveness and measuring success of physical security controls across our global enterprise.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Project Management skills

  • Experience with and technical working knowledge of physical security system design including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and advanced security applications such as biometrics, video analytics and visitor management

  • Experience in corporate physical security teams responsible for assessing physical risk to the enterprise.

  • Experience implementing physical security systems in international locations preferred.

  • Working knowledge of risk assessments, physical security systems, office locations and business operations

  • Ability to communicate technical security-related concepts to a broad variety of technical and non-technical staff

  • Full understanding of the architectural and engineering design and integration process.

  • Act as an inspiring leader to drive problem solving and identify business solutions

  • PSP certification preferred but not required.

  • Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience in addition to 6 years of relevant
