About the Role
As a Medical Review Auditor Analyst ,you will review and audit medical bills for unrelated charges or overpayments.
Responsibilities
Auditing medical bills for unrelated charges. "Driving" to hospital Central Billing Offices (CBO’s) in the territory of MA and southern NH to do auditing work. Will also be “working-from-home” (about 75%). So, will need to live in the State of Massachusetts or southern New Hampshire or Rhode Island area.
Assessing payments against regulatory or administrative charges, coding, and billing errors. Determining if fraud or inaccurate billing has occurred.
Assisting in the development and implementation of new audit/review methodologies to identify overpayments and underpayments to providers. Detecting healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse.
Preparing written case summaries and represents clients and Conduent as an expert witness
Applying knowledge of provider billing and patient accounting practices to the research of client policy and data. Revealing new overpayment recovery opportunities.
Developing, maintaining, and ensuring adherence to multiple project schedules.
Achieving percent of savings expectations through their review billing
Ensuring productivity goals are met daily and communicating audit findings to clients.
Participating in planning, daily meetings, and backlog sessions
Requirements
Have valid driver's license and live in/near the MA/NH/RI territory to travel to audit sites.
Have formal education ...OR... relevant expertise in medical billing, patient accounting, auditing, or finance. (Entry level college graduates are also encouraged to apply!)
Have ability to use deductive reasoning to solve problems and make recommendations.
Have ability to complete work self-guided. (Receives moderate guidance and direction from others.)
Have ability to develop an understanding of the Conduent's processes, and customers.

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $55,000 - $60,000.
