Suffolk Construction Marketing & Work Acquisition Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts

As a key member of the team, the Marketing & Work Acquisition Specialist contributes to the overall efforts to position Suffolk as the builder of choice.   • Work Acquisition

  • Develop and produce industry-leading RFQ/RFP responses and interview materials to secure new business

  • Facilitate and/or actively participate in win-strategy meetings and follow-up activities

  • Develop effective narratives, resumes and profiles, layouts, cover letters, and visuals to address RFQ/P questions

  • Coordinate requests for company information with other departments to ensure compliance with RFQ/RFP requirements.

  • Work closely with colleagues in marketing, operations, estimating, leadership, and business development to manage facilitate timely production and packaging to meet non-negotiable deadlines

  • Develop slides, handouts, agendas, etc. for client interviews

  • Actively participate in and coach operations teams during practice sessions

  • Participate and contribute in internal debrief sessions to help identifying best practices and areas for continued improvement during work acquisition efforts

  • Create collateral for leadership and business development

  • Marketing Infrastructure

  • Support the process to create and maintain marketing records and materials including resumes, project profiles, etc.

  • Support the process for tracking signature projects including participation in marketing kickoff meetings, team interviews, site visits, milestone tracking, collection of progress photography, and identification of Build Smart stories

  • Contribute to maintaining annual prequalifications and updates to AIA A305 document

  • Maintain and update historical client, project, employee databases, and CRM as needed

  • Maintain awareness of and contribute to strategic solutions to streamline work acquisition and marketing processes in support of functional excellence

  • Marketing Communications

  • Support content development and production of award submissions

  • Contribute to collecting and developing content for internal and external communication

  • Facilitate project closeout debrief interviews, write project case studies and coordinate professional project photography

  • Stay abreast of current trends by attending industry programs and representing firm within local A/E/C community, as well as at strategic local business functions and events

  • 5+ years marketing in professional services BS/BA with concentration in marketing, business, or communications preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service

  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work

  • Ability to work well under pressure and successfully meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Positive attitude and ability to contribute to the team

  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills

  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on strategy and quality

  • Strong technical capabilities in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator and in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel

  • Basic design sense and creative ability

The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
