We are searching for an Associate/VP, Jr Trader, who will support our lead trader and eventually trade independently.
Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Assist the trading team through the lifecycle of trade execution, from submission on trading platforms, through trade allocations with counterparties
Monitor pre-trade and post-trade compliance, ensure trades are not violating any compliance rules set up by advisor firms or specific to client accounts
Research, resolution, and documentation of all trade related issues including rejects, breaks, and trade errors
Review and quality control proposed trade orders for non-discretionary accounts
Interacting with sales and advisor success team, partner firms and custodians regarding topics related to SMA (separately managed account) trading and operations
Design and implement trade process improvements utilizing tech-enabled resources and automation
2-5 years of buy side SMA (separately managed account) trade operations experience
Baseline knowledge of investment and asset management industry structure, technology, and trends
Effective communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders and drive decision making
Ability to work under pressure and within a complex organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong Excel skills
Experience with model portfolios and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) a plus
Knowledge of buy side trading or accounting systems a plus, including Bloomberg, Advent Moxy, APL, Charles River, Advent APX
Technology-driven with a natural curiosity for innovation
Hustle: Self-motivated, proactive, responsive-ability to think strategically but also willing to dig into the details and tactics when needed
Bachelor's degree required
