THE DOE RUN COMPANY Summer 2025 Recycling Operations Accounting Intern - SUMME003578-00001 in Boss, Missouri

Are you a student looking for an opportunity to gain hands on experience in accounting that will prepare you for your career? Then our paid summer internship position at The Doe Run Campany- Buick Resource Recycling Division in Boss, MO may be a great opportunity.

Located in Boss, MO the Resource Recycling Division is the largest secondary lead smelter in the world. Since its opening in 1991, the division and its employees have steadily increased the amount of lead-bearing material they recycle each year. The state-of-the-art recycling facility is the most advanced, environmentally sound, and safest of its kind in North America. Each year the facility recycles and recovers more than 100,000 tons of refined lead.

We are currently hiring for the following internship for Summer 2025:

  • Accounting

Learning Objectives

At the end of the internship, students will have a clear understanding of your specific profession as it relates to the Recycling industry in general and Doe Run in particular. Students will come away with solid experience in the field, especially in your field of study.

Work Plan

  • Site specific environmental and safety training
  • Assignment of an individual project in which results will be presented by the intern to the executive and leadership team
  • Overview of duties and responsibilities of someone in your field of study
  • Training in field sampling
  • Support of ongoing environmental compliance work

Guidelines for Academic Background

  • Accounting, Business, or Finance.
  • At least 40 hours coursework completed towards Bachelor's Degree with at least 12 hours required coursework in chosen major
  • GPA of at least 2.7 (out of 4.0 scale)
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong work ethic is required
  • No mining or industrial work experience is required

Experience

Required
