Administrative Assistant/ Event Coordinator

Location: Bloomfield Hills MI

Rate: $25+ depending on experience

Hours: Fulltime- 9am- 5pm Temp to Hire

Flexible to work some nights and weekends for events


The Administrative & Event Coordinator includes and is not limited to:

  • Administrative support for the Executive Director

  • Board support and communication

  • Tributes (processing donations and sending acknowledgement letters)

  • Yahrzeits and Yizkor lists and mailings

  • Member engagement

  • General office management

  • Managing all private & life cycle events

  • Microsoft proficiency required

  • Serve as primary contact and event coordinator for any external building rentals or events.

  • Receive and respond to all communication regarding events at Temple.

  • Work with Executive Director for approval and pricing regarding any events.

  • Track and share all information among staff (including maintenance and security) as necessary, including B’nai Mitzvah spread sheet & set-up forms.

  • Coordinating hospitality

  • Serve as primary greeter (and train & schedule others) for Shabbat, holidays, and life cycle events.

  • Coordinate any tours at Temple

  • Oversee Usher program

  • Liaison with Temple’s caterer for all events – not only private, but Onegs, Shabbat, holidays, Nosh & Knowledge, etc.

  • Attendance at private and Temple events (as needed), and facility and other planning meetings.

  • Additional tasks as necessary
