Position Summary:

Looking for that next opportunity to use your advanced negotiation skills? Kemper is looking for experienced Casualty Claims Adjusters for our growing teams!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Initiate thorough coverage and liabilityinvestigations

  • Draft coverage letters as appropriate

  • Evaluate and resolve moderate to severe, including fatal,bodily injury claims with promptreview and respondto all demands, including time limitdemands

  • Obtainand thoroughly analyze complexmedical records anddata

  • Research and apply applicable laws inmultiplestates

  • Submit timely large loss reports and referrals to home office whenappropriate

  • Prepare for and deliver quality presentations of high exposure cases to upper claimsmanagement

  • Timely reserve losses and continue to monitor reserveadequacy

  • Skillfully and professionally negotiatesettlements with claimants andattorneys

  • Adjust insurance policies for UM/UIM claims

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 +yearsexperiencehandlingcomplex andseverefirst party andbodily injury claimswith high exposuresin a multi-statearea

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Must be detail oriented and show a high level ofaccuracy

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exercise decisiveness and execution within authority

  • Ability to workindependentlyand as ateam

  • Strongproblem-solvingskills

  • Strong time management and organizational ability

  • Proficientwith computer software. Experience with Guidewireclaims system isaplus

  • Must be able to becomeAdjusterlicensed in all stateswhererequired

  • Able to work“in-office” in one of ourClaimsofficelocations
