Aerotek is seeking a reliable, long-term CNC Machinist, Manual Machinist and CNC Programmer for a small manufacturing company in Bend, OR. The pay rate varies based on skill level. This position is a Monday-Friday work week with great opportunity for overtime. An ideal work shift is from 7:30am-4pm. If you are open to working a weekend shift (3 12's - paid for 40 hours) we may have that option availabl e.
•Responsible for operation, loading and unloading material and parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements
•Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
•Ensures production rates are met and exceeded
•Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine within capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality of productions
•Communicates with Management, Production Control, Quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
•Responsible for keeping equipment and work stations clean, orderly, and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment as needed
•Suggest and implement improvements
•Communicates all production related items to the next shift personnel or Shift Supervisor
•Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations
•Upholds ISCO’s culture of quality, service, and continuous improvement, while take personal responsibility for actions and treating fellow employees, customers, and vendors respectfully and ethically
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
•5+ years setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes
•Must possess strong math skills, including but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and trigonometry
•Understanding in blue print reading/geometric tolerance interpretation
•Basic understanding of Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T)
•Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments - calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales
•Forklift experience a plus
