Aston Carter Patient Access Manager in Bellevue, Washington

Description:

Responsible for the operation of all registration and upfront financial functions throughout the hospital. Supervises Patient Access Supervisors, Coordinators, Trainers and Financial Counselors in regards to preadmission, inpatient, outpatient, emergency, surgery, financial counseling, and point of service collections. Closely coordinates with the Business Office, HIM, Utilization Review, Shift Administrators, clinical areas, physicians and their office staff.

Quick learner that can hit the ground running Great customer service attitude and skills Someone reliable and dependable EPIC is required 1-2 Years of experience within emergency department is ideal Experience: Five years experience in a similar position with in a hospital or related field required. Knowledge of and experience with automated systems required, one-year leadership experience required. At least five years experience in managing a Patient Access department (total of 45 FTEs: ED, Main, OPS, Cardiology, Mother/Baby, L&D strong background in management of all Patient Access areas is imperative. Previous admission/registration experience or previous physician office, hospital or other frontline customer contact experience in a business setting. Demonstrated customer service skills required. Exceptional interpersonal skills to interview, educate and advise patients of hospital policies and the professionalism to positively interact with other Overlake personnel are required. Education: High school diploma or equivalent education required, BA preferred. Professional Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certification in a professional association preferred. Special Training/Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel preferred. Strong organization skills required. Effective verbal and written communication skills. High-stress climate requires the ability to conduct several projects simultaneously and maintain stability in the department.
