Aerotek Industrial Maintenance Technician in Bedford Park, Illinois


Candidates will be responsible for electrical, mechanical maintenance, hydraulics/pneumatics, basic HVAC, PLCs, and Welding and Fabrication. Expected job duties are as follows.


-knowledge and understanding of machine mechanics

-mechanical blue print reading for identifying and ordering parts

-ability to repair, modify, assemble, or rebuild mechanical parts

-stick welding experience and some TIG

-building of racks, machine guarding,


-experience with 110, 240, 480 Volt

-single and three phase electrical systems

-24 AC/DC

-strong electrical troubleshooting skills

-proficient with electrical schematics

-experience in electrical automation (project related)

-basic knowledge and understanding of PLCs

-basic troubleshooting of PLCs

-experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens


-basic knowledge and principles

-proficient with hydraulic/pneumatic prints

-basic troubleshooting skills

-repair and rebuild as necessary


-basic understanding and concepts

-troubleshooting and repairs

-maintenance cleaning or replacing coils, changing filters, etc.

machines include: conveyors, prefeeding systems, Flexo printing presses, strapping equipment, and load formers. Candidates must also be comfortable on a computer because they will be performing basic data entry in Excel.

Candidates are also responsible for building maintenance when machines are running smoothly. (Hence the need for HVAC experience). Candidates can be doing anything from basic drywalling to concrete work.

Opening on 1st shift

Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

Opening on 2nd shift

Monday- Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm

0-8 hours OT weekly
