Eaton Corporation EHS Analyst in Beaver, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s Power Components division is currently seeking an EHS Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Beaver, PA facility.

Position Overview:

The EHS Analyst will support environmental, health, safety and security at the Beaver, PA manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include supporting EHS activities at the site; occupational health management; initial assessment/treatment of on the job injuries and illness; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements; closure of MESH and regulatory findings in a timely manner; completion of training for required EHS personnel; and creating a strong zero incident EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS and continuous improvement processes.

In this function, you will:

  • Support EHS Manager in development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives. Including the development of goals for site manager, leadership team, and front-line leaders to drive EHS culture, compliance, and result.

  • Provide initial assessment of as well as direct care including treatment of on the job injuries and illness; refers for further evaluation if needed.

  • Coordinate with 3rd party medical management partner for case management and company doctors for injury/illness treatments.

  • Work with EHS manager and site team to perform site risk assessments and create targets and objectives based on identified key EHS risks.

  • Provide occupational health surveillance testing (audiometric, vision, respiratory fit testing) as needed.

  • Support health related programs and associated training to promote healthy living.

  • Coordination of FMLA, disability and employee call offs.

  • Benefits administration including new hire on boarding

  • Support coordination of all OSHA compliance programs, including, but not limited to; PPE, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection.

  • Support industrial hygiene efforts including personal exposure monitoring.

  • Work with MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.

  • Work with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Use established EHS data processes such as MESH PRISM to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of two (2) years of EHS or nurse experience

  • License in the State of PA as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates currently located within a 50 mile radius of Beaver, PA, will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Biology, etc. from an accredited institution

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry

  • Experience in occupational health
