Grace Health Referral Specialist- Quality Improvement in Battle Creek, Michigan
$15+ an hour (adjusted based on education, experience, and skill)
In this position you will assist patients, Grace Health staff, and healthcare agencies with referrals and appointments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and phone etiquette, as you will spend a lot of time assisting people in person and on the phone. 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not be all inclusive.)
Manages flow of telephone calls and voice mail messages.
Schedules diagnostic testing and processes referrals per medical order.
Obtains prior authorizations for designated testing and referrals, as required.
Manages and tracks tests and referrals until scheduled.
Educates patients and staff about managed care.
Communicates with patients, Grace Health staff, and other offices or health care agencies regarding referrals and appointments.
Documents appropriate information in the medical record.
