VMware CI/CD and test automation developer in Bangalore, India
The Telco Cloud Operations (TCOps) platform development team is looking for a skilled CI/CD developer to join the team.
TCOps is a real-time automated service assurance solution designed to bridge the gap between the virtual and physical worlds. It provides integrated monitoring and network management across all layers for rapid insights, lower costs and improved customer experience. TCOps is built on a modern, microservice architecture, offering a web-based user interface and dashboard, high-performance streaming services, and an extensible platform for data collection, fault and performance management.
Job role and responsibility
The CI/CD and test automation developer will be responsible for defining, deploying and maintaining the build and deployment pipelines, and automating system and container-level testing, for TCOps and related products.
Writing and maintaining build scripts
Defining and maintaining build jobs
Monitoring and maintaining virtualized build infrastructure
Automating post-checkin verification tasks
Automating builds for code quality, security and open source compliance scans
Automating system- and container-level sanity and functional tests
Managing code repositories, including branch and tag management
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an Agile development environment with a geographically distributed team, in close collaboration with other development teams and external stakeholders, such as release, product and program managers. As this role will be supporting a production build system, the successful candidate may be required to monitor the build infrastructure and respond to outages outside of regular business hours.
Bachelor or Master's degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field
5+ years software development experience
Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)
Experience with git, Jenkins, JIRA and Confluence (or similar)
Experience with build systems such as Gradle and Bazel
Experience with build artifactories, such as JFrog Artifactory or Nexus
Experience with UNIX/Linux software development
Experience with microservices, Docker and Kubernetes
Test automation experience with automation frameworks, such as Robot
Scripting experience with Python, Groovy or similar
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
UI test automation experience, for example with Selenium
Experience with Harbor (or similar) registry
Experience with VMware Photon OS
Experience integrating builds with source code scanners such as Black Duck, SonarQube, HP Fortify or Coverity
Understanding of open source licensing and compliance
