OneMain Financial Compliance Operations Manager in Baltimore, Maryland
The compliance operations support manager will lead a collaborative team that supports teams across the compliance department with a focus on the Regulatory Core Compliance team and Chief Compliance Officer. This role will also be responsible for managing some key compliance programs, such as compliance reporting for Sr. Management and Board, OFAC screening program, Compliance Issue Management program, manage all Critical Compliance Requirements (state & federal) in Archer, etc.
Responsibilities
Handle overall Compliance Operational Support for the Compliance Department including support for the Chief Compliance Officer
Manage Compliance Reporting with includes taking information from various sources and distilling it down to a presentable presentation which includes quarterly Compliance Board reporting (requires engagement with Senior/Executive Management).
Manage a current team of two
Gather and assess data for analytics and trending purposes
Root cause analysis
Manage the Compliance Issues Management process via Archer and interface with enterprise issues management team
Manage the OFAC Screening Program for the company
Manage appeals process for Branch Network on potential Do Not Call (DNC) violations
Oversight of the Legal & Compliance Branch Support function (intake of legal & compliance questions from branch team members)
Collaboration with other business units and Legal
Manage all Critical Compliance Requirements (state & federal) in Archer
Support the compliance team in various level from reporting, coordination of information, special projects, etc.
Assist with Compliance Town Halls, group functions, and other types of team building efforts
Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of compliance or risk management operations and support role related experience
Exceptional analytical and data management skills
Leadership/management skills
Ability to solve problems and offer solutions and then influence without authority and drive results
Strong research skills and advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and on-line research systems and Archer experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Consumer state and federal regulatory requirements (preferably related to financial industries)
Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs
Ability to work collaboratively with the business they support
Excellent project management skills
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to make sound decisions
Ability to multi-task and complete projects timely
Self-starter and organized
Ability to work in partnership with others and in a team environment
Able to work independently with minimum supervision and guidance
Preferred Qualifications
- Related certification such as CCEP
Education Level
Bachelor's Degree (Advanced degrees, licenses, certifications as plus)
