POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision the Application Specialist has the ability to work alone on regular duties while referring appropriately to manager or other resources for escalation or support. The Application Specialist should exhibit customer service skills necessary to provide ongoing remote or on-site support of end users. The Application Specialist possesses strong communication skills adapted to the requirements of the customers.
The Application Specialist is able to conduct education classes for enterprise applications. The Application Specialist will be able to support instruction and adoption for an audience of end users across the enterprise.
Arranges and balances activities to complete concurrent assignments and to accomplish project deadlines and schedules.
Actively engaged in coaching and elbow support, and troubleshooting, that assists in enhancing the use of the enterprise wide systems and associated technology.
Responsible for distributing information to a variety of individuals both verbally and in writing on a timely basis.
Stays current with application knowledge and seeks out opportunities to keep current on applications that are supported.
REQUIREMENTS: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field; 3-5 years of experience; Maryland Drivers License - Must drive own vehicle between facilities
