The Senior Wafer Loss Engineer is responsible for improving wafer/product loss in a state of the art, high technology semiconductor manufacturing fab.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead team of wafer loss owners from each department to determine root cause of loss events and put preventative measures in place.

  • Create and maintain standard wafer loss business procedures regarding reassignments, dispositioning and re-purposing.

  • Perform analysis on overall wafer loss failure modes and reasons. Utilize analysis to generate new improvement activities.

  • Work with department wafer loss owners to ensure improvement action items are closed in a timely manner.

  • Maintain and improve wafer loss tracking systems.

  • Create wafer loss weekly reports showing overall fab status and improvement projects

  • Tracking of specific loss events, excursions, re-assignments and action items.

  • Work days and hours: 1st-Shift, M-F 8am to 5pm.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have at least 5 years of Semiconductor experience.

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a Technical Engineering field is required.

  • A good understanding of Semiconductor Fab Equipment and/or Semiconductor Fab Process is needed.

  • Must have a working knowledge of Semiconductor wafer loss causes and prevention methods.

  • Team Leadership, Influence, Data Analysis, Report Writing, Communication at all levels of the organization are required skills in this position.
