Intel MPE MNC Product Development Engineer in Austin, Texas
We are looking for a Product Development Engineer and in this position, you will be part of the test program team within the Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) Group. The team is involved from product definition through high volume manufacturing. The job scope will provide the opportunities to work with different organizations including design, Quality & Reliability, Process, and others.
You will be responsible for:
Ensuring the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp.
Making significant contributions to design, development and validation of testability circuits. Evaluation, development and debug of complex test methods.
Developing and debugging complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment.
Creating and testing validation and production test hardware solutions.
Testing, validating, modifying and re-designing circuits to guarantee component margin to specification.
Analyzing and evaluating component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability.
Analyzing early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities.
Creating and applying concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints and autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
You must have a BS with 3 years or MS with 1+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related degree and your experience should be in :
Microprocessor test (ATE and/or system test and/or pre-silicon verification) experience
Strong programming skills (C++, Perl, Python, any scripting language)
Strong background and knowledge in semiconductor device physics, fundamentals of testing, digital electronics principles, microprocessor basics, basics of VLSI design, assembly language programming, computer architecture and test methodologies
Strong statistical data analysis skills (JMP, etc)
Preferred Qualifications include:
Tester experience and debug knowledge preferred
Product development, integrated circuit testing and high volume manufacturing experience would be an added advantage
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a proven track record of creating and implementing integrated, multidiscipline solutions
Ability to work in unstructured environments and to initiate and drive new model path finding activity from ambiguity (concepts) to clarity (defined direction and development)
Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, effective listening and influencing skills that result in strong working partnerships across organization boundaries
