Kelly Services Manufacturing Supervisor - 3rd Shift in Austin, Texas

This is a 12-month temporary position at 40 hours per week. 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday. 10:00 pm – 6:00 am.

Job Summary:

\t

  • Minimizes scrap and reworks.\t

  • Improves/controls efficiency of machines and operators.\t

  • Coordinates manpower and resources required to keep production lines working in accord with compliance regulations, quality specifications, and standard costs i.e., material and labor in order to meet schedule requirements.\t

  • Follows safety procedures.\t

  • Controls daily production and its quality.\t

  • Develops projects in order to achieve improvements in productivity/savings.\t

  • Supervises assigned personnel/ensures staff is properly trained for their role.\t

  • Supports company’s strategic projects.\t

  • Select, organizes, and directs activities of the assigned maintenance group to ensure proper utilization of production related equipment.\t

  • Plans, schedules, and improves work in accordance with the demands and available manpower.\t

  • Maintains the condition of production equipment to ensure operation reliability.\t

  • Identifies, develops, and improves employees’ performance through on-the-job formal training programs.\t

  • Participates with Maintenance/Engineering personnel for troubleshooting of equipment to resolve technical problems.\t

  • Ensures all equipment is maintained in compliance with GMPs/manufacturing specifications.\t

  • Controls handling of solvents.

Requirements:

\t

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related career is required.\t

  • Must have the following skills: English, interpersonal, negotiation skills, conflicts management, and Microsoft Office.\t

  • AS400, Access, and Inventor desirable.\t

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing processes/Mechanical-Equipment-Industrial Engineering/Materials Management desirable, as supervisor.
