Job/Position DescriptionThis position reports to the Director of Medicaid and CHIP Services Systems and is critical to support multiple application teams. The position requires an individual that applies analytical skills to support input for procurements of software, staff augmentation and other contracted resources ranging from simple to extremely complex applications projects. Competent to work on complex projects and applies a comprehensive knowledge of business administration concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with HHSC procurement processes. The candidate is capable to work under tight deadlines and handling heavy workloads. Requires strong organizational skills, and the ability to make decisions in organizing, prioritizing multiple assignments, and works in a professional manner. With limited general direction, operates independently and responds rapidly in a complex organizational environment with daily customer interchange and multi-faceted tasking. Schedules and scribes complex meetings. Coordinates building activities. Provides support to approximately 100 staff, both state and contracted. Coordinates on boarding for new employees and contractors (paperwork, office space, computers, phone, badge, basic office supplies, etc.)Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Creates and tracks purchase orders from creation through order completion and payment, ensuring purchase requests follow procurement guidelines. -10%3. Prepares, edits, and distributes correspondence, reports, studies, forms, and documents. - 20%4. Creates, proofs and edits materials to support presentations and dashboards for executive review. - 20%5. Coordinates meetings, conferences, and seminars including locating and scheduling conference rooms. - 25%Registrations, Licensure Requirements or CertificationsNone. May be asked to acquire Certified Texas Contract Manager.Knowledge Skills Abilitiesand#149;Knowledge of general modern office practices and administrative procedures.
