TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION Administrative Assistant (Hybrid) in Austin, Texas

WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Administrative Assistant V performs highly-advanced (senior-level) administrative support work. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: - Coordinate and/or prepare, edit, and distribute correspondence, reports, studies, forms, and documents. - Respond to complex inquiries regarding program or administrative regulations, policies, and procedures. - Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, and seminars; and prepares related materials. - Maintain Records Management Center to include confidential records for the RESEA department. - Develop and maintain tracking process for departmental equipment, assignments, special projects, assigned action plans, and legislative inquiries. - Manage training and travel calendars - Perform support staff functions including human resources management, purchasing, time distribution reporting, and assistance with budget preparation. - May train staff in administrative duties. - Performs related work as assigned.

YOU QUALIFY WITH: -Four years of full-time experience that provided knowledge of administrative support functions and office practices and procedures, or clerical administration and business management practices, such as preparation, maintenance and control of forms, records and reports. -Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
