Siemens Digital Industry – Process Automation is searching for a highly motivated professional Regional Sales Manager with a passion for customer engagement and satisfaction. As a Regional Sales Manager in the Process Automation Business Unit, the successful candidate will be required to lead and support the Gulf Coast Region DCS Direct Sales Team and the Process Instrumentation Sales Channel Partners. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible to drive growth of Process Automation sales revenue and market share in the assigned region.

The Regional Sales Manager will be expected to build strong relationships with end customers and channel partners based on trust and mutual respect. Successful candidate will lead with energy, a sense of urgency, and clear direction, following ethical practices and putting Siemens principles at the center of all activities. In addition, the Regional Sales Manager will regularly collaborate with other Siemens sales groups to provide solutions to our customers and increase our market share.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Grow the DCS (PCS 7) and Process Instrumentation business YoY sales in product, solutions, and service – managing a team of 6 account managers
Accurately forecast and manage robust AE and PI sales activity and pipeline to meet sales goals and objectives
Develop and maintain annual business plans for each DCS focused account manager and Process Instrumentation Channel Partner in the region including new customer development and customer expansion
Directly participate in closing orders with target accounts and pursuits as required
Manage resources internally to gain support for resource allocation to close sales opportunities to quickly define opportunities and coordinate, internally and externally to drive for DCS and Instrumentation business
Promote collaborative culture of lead sharing and cross selling opportunities with other Siemens DI sales organizations
Advocate Siemens digitalization focus at customers including COMOS, PSE, and Mindsphere
Engage with Marketing, Product Management, and other groups to enhance strategic and tactical product and service positioning
Drives customer focus internally and initiates planning of customer related product development activities and projects
Travel requirements up to 30% of the time as required to support sales team and channel partners
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business.
10+ years of Industrial sales experience in Process Automation with a proven track record of successful results
Sales Team Management experience
Excellent planning skills to manage the overall region and ensure the achievement of sales goals and objectives
Large project pursuit, complex sales process, and technology conversion experience
Excellent presentation skills to all levels of the business
Energetic, compelling communicator with exceptional diplomatic and persuasive skills, capable of listening and interacting effectively with staff and customers at all organizational levels
Strategic, open-minded thinker - Ability to think beyond standard Siemens boundaries and assumptions, tireless in getting additional information to develop possible strategies
