CF@LANTA (Cystic Fibrosis Atlanta) is seeking a team member with project management experience who will play two important roles as the Manager, of Program && Research. The comprehensive CF program includes research, education, clinical care, and its research arm-The Center for Cystic Fibrosis and Airways Disease Research. You will assist the Director and Co-Directors of CF@LANTA in managing the research program that includes faculty and research trainees primarily at Emory, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia Tech, and Augusta University (85% of this role). Secondly, you will work with the leader of the Georgia CF Data Warehouse initiative as a project manager (15% of this role).
Manages the research activities of the faculty engaged in Cystic Fibrosis (CF), food allergy, and/or asthma research at our primary and partner institutions, in ways that stimulate collaboration and enhance the intellectual environment that supports research.
Develops plans for the program growth and development and serves as a liaison to various committees or organizations.
Oversee the planning, logistics and implementation of various special events such as lectures, seminars, conferences, or research projects.
Participates in developing and implementing various program related communications such as websites, publications, multimedia or video productions.
May hire and supervise administrative or research related staff.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
Coordinates the routine gatherings of the research team for seminars, workshops, etc.
Assists in managing pilot grant programs associated with a variety of intramural and extramural funding sources.
Coordinates the strategic planning process and monitors progress toward achieving programmatic goals.
Monitors expenditures and participate in the budget planning process, and may prepare financial reports.
Develops and generates various operational and statistical reports for intramural and extramural agencies.
Assists in writing grants, reports, briefings, promotional or other written material, and in managing the CF@LANTA website.
Assists in identifying funding sources and in developing funding strategies and initiatives.
Coordinates activities associated with philanthropic support for CF@LANTA.
This is not an administrative support position.
A bachelor's degree in business or related field.
Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management.
Requires previous supervisory and program/project management experience.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as needed. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
