SUMMARY

Responsible for all functions relating to inside sales activities including maintaining and strengthening Light Commercial Equipment Customer relationships with existing customer base to ensure maximum account penetration and customer retention. Targeted products include Light Commercial Unitary 3-25 tons, replacement/service parts and supplies, and small packaged heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment for use on commercial applications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Functions as inside sales representative and liaison between customers and the Regional Sales Office.

  • Develops good working relationships within all levels of existing customers.

  • Enter sales and orders working closely with LCU and System Sales Account Managers.

  • Order processing and project managing on smaller scale with quick turnaround.

  • Establishes systematic customer contact to provide on-going information.

  • Assists with customer problems resolution.

  • Researches and provides competitive unitary equipment and parts/supplies sales data.

  • Responsible for ordering and expediting using FOE and PeopleSoft Projects and purchase orders to vendors

  • Attends MDI meetings and reports sales activity, new account development, and upcoming itinerary.

  • Maintains records of sales, customer information, and requests by updating data in LCU Sharepoint site

  • Assist Financial Services with credit applications through mendix and credit card for credit approvals

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and a minimum of one year of sales or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and sales experience. Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC products and HVAC systems applications. Knowledge of Lynx, CRM, PeopleSoft and TOPSS systems preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

This position works primarily in an indoor environment. Occasionally, may involve visits to mechanical/equipment rooms and industrial work environments. During visits to job sites, the employee is occasionally required to climb, and is exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
