The Engineering team in Athens, GA, is looking for a self-motivated engineering student to assist with projects using an internal tollgate process. Candidates will support advanced manufacturing groups for project execution, factory support, and design changes. This will require working in a cross-functional environment which includes communicating with other engineers both at a factory level as well as new product development.


  • Work With PLC Programming

  • Participate in line design events

  • Develop material delivery systems

  • Perform time studies


  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all newly hired Carrier U.S. Salaried employees

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Self-driven and proactive

  • Experience with CAD preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

  • Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects

  • Must be hands-on and willing to learn how to use equipment and tools to build fixtures and carts


  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

  • GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA

  • Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
