Job Purpose: Ownership of the Administrative department, including Accounting, IT, and HR. Responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to drive current and future decisions of the company. Handle IT issues and opportunities. Oversee and guide employee relations and compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position is required to assure compliance of company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practice and company documented procedures (including but not limited to Quality Systems Regulations, ISO 9001/13485, government occupational health and environment regulations and statues) Accounting Core Responsibility Own, oversee, and provide escalation path for Accounts Payable process Own, oversee, and provide escalation path for Accounts Receivable process Complete necessary entries/adjustments/schedules to maintain accurate financial statements Participate in outside financial relationships, such as Financial Institution, CPA's, R&D, Insurance Company Tariff management with vendors and customers On time completion of all monthly/quarterly/annual tax filings Document and manage fixed assets Lead all audit initiatives (WC, 401k, Financial, R&D, Asset) Information Technologies Core Responsibility Provide IT triage on-site for simple issues Escalate higher level issues to 3rd party IT service provider Work with IT company on Technology roadmap, provide recommendations, and provide next 12-24 month IT budget Reporting/Analysis Core Responsibility Complete monthly and annual financial statements and business analysis Provide weekly metrics related to all aspects of the business Provide ad hoc reporting/analysis for all areas of the business Review all areas of the business for cost savings opportunities Implement an internal audit process and review related to financial audit items Employee Relations Secondary Responsibility Manage department staffing, training, expectations and performance Ensure resources are being utilized appropriately Develop employees skills Set employee/department goals with actionable items Participate and lead continuous improvement projects Provide backup to all roles within the department Human Resources Secondary Responsibility Complete bi-weekly payroll/payroll oversight review Responsible for payroll supporting documents Create additional validation for payroll accuracy and tracking Provide employee payroll analysis to managers, as needed Oversight of HR department Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong financial management, accounting principles and financial software knowledge. Intermediate level excel skills, such as pivot tables, SQL database queries, formula creation and chart implementation. Strong verbal skills and written skills including presenting information and responding to questions from internal and external individuals. High sense of moral and business ethics. Ability to work closely with many personality types in numerous environments, while remaining professional and courteous, in all areas of the business. Analytical support to areas outside of finance/accounting. Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively. Must be self-motivated and self-directed while being a goal oriented and organized team player. Strategic planning with an ability to think ahead over a 1-3-year time span. Ability to tra n, develop and mentor a team. Motivate the department to work towards the company's common goals and future aspirations. Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or work experience equivalent 5+ years of Accounting, IT, and/or HR experience Previous leadership role within organization Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Teams) Preferred: Master's Degree in related field CPA certification Previous experience in manufacturing industry Management of Finance or Accounting department Worked in a variety of departments within an organization Physical Requirements/Capabilities: Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and the ability to talk and hear. Ability to frequently sit for prolonged amounts of time, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm's length, climb or balance, stoop or bend, push, pull, kneel, and crouch as job requires. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time.
