Description
Summary
The laborer will perform tasks such as moving office equipment, boxes, trash, and miscellaneous items by transferring from one task to another. Must have the ability to work without close supervision by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Move office equipment, boxes, and miscellaneous items to and from multiple buildings.
Break down and reassemble office equipment and office related items as needed.
Load up trash items such as carboard boxes, paper products, and bags into company vehicle.
Transfer office items and materials from one building to another using company vehicle.
Adhere to all company safety protocols and policies.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous laborer experience preferred.
Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Weather: Indoors/Outdoors – Frequent exposure to moderate to harsh weather conditions. Requires work to be done both inside and outside.
Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Description of environment: Frequently required to be outside at construction/project sites. Also occasionally inside in standard office setting.
Physical requirements: The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
