Asset Description

Willow is an oil discovery located within the Bear Tooth Unit (BTU) in the National Petroleum Reserve of Alaska (NPR-A) approximately 30 miles west-southwest of the Alpine Central Facility (ACF) on the North Slope of Alaska.

The Willow Development is expected to contain greater than 600 MMBOE gross recoverable resource. The initial phase of Willow development will include a new Willow Central Processing Facility (WCF), three drill sites, pipelines, roads, bridges, and supporting infrastructure.


The Logistics Supervisor is accountable to execute the approved logistics plan for the Willow Project. The position is expected to provide work direction to logistics leads and logistics specialists within the Willow Logistics organization and to external contractors and vendors to support the successfull delivery of the project.

The Logistics Supervisor is a direct report to the Willow Construction Manager and has functional accountability to the Willow Logistics Manager. The Logistics Supervisor will interface with members of the Willow Project Team, the Alaska Business Unit Supply Chain and Logistics organizations, as well as Engineering, Fabrication, Construction, Drilling and Wells, Operations and Logistics contractor(s) to ensure the logistics plan is safely executed on schedule and on budget.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supervise assigned logistics resources to ensure successful project execution in alignment with the project schedule and budget

  • Provide key interface with engineering, fabrication, construction, and logistics contractors to develop the most cost effective and efficient means of transporting project material and support infrastructure

  • Provide key interface with Supply Chain procurement and materials management function, logistics contractors and major suppliers and fabricators to develop load out plans, ensure contract transportation requirements are attained, and schedule deadlines are met

  • Assist in the development and/or review of project transportation and fabrication studies and scenarios to evaluate cost effective transportation options

  • Assist in the implementation of the logistics contract strategy and subsequent management

  • Evaluate transportation and fabrication contractor proposals and make recommendations for award as part of the evaluation team

  • Support the development of transportation and fabrication schedules and review contractor/vendor schedules for alignment with key project dates

  • Provide oversight and monitor Transportation Management Plans of logistics providers and manage logistics contracts including invoice reconciliation and cost control

  • Support implementation of HSE and quality plans related to logistics and materials management including contract management oversight

  • Champion and enforce management of Company logistics and materials management policies



  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee

  • 10 years of logistics experience

  • 5 years of logistics management or supervisory experience

  • 5 years of logistics experience in the oil and gas industry

  • Willing and able (with or without a reasonable accommodation) to travel up to 25% of time on a yearly basis


  • Advanced level of logistics experience on large construction projects

  • Advanced level of logistics experience in Alaska and/or the Arctic

  • Advanced level of experience with ConocoPhillips Capital Projects Management System (CPMS)

  • Ability to demonstrate strong technical competence, understanding of unique Alaska transportation requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate performance as part of a team working large projects

  • Ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Strong multi-tasking skills with ability to manage multiple ongoing activities
