Reporting to the Team Manager – HazMat, the HazMat Consultant will deliver a wide range of services to our clients such as asbestos and hazardous materials inspections, air monitoring and risk reporting. This role will be supported by a team of high performing technical experts.
To be successful in this role, here are the following key responsibilities:
Conducting Asbestos / Hazmat audits in a wide range of locations including commercial buildings, industrial facilities and residential properties.
Conducting airborne fibre monitoring during Asbestos / Hazmat remediation projects.
Compiling technical reports detailing results of Asbestos / Hazmat investigations to provide prioritised and practicable recommendations.
Developing client relationships to expand regional business opportunities and services via proactive consultancy.
This role is based in our Adelaide office and ideally, we are looking for an Asbestos / HazMat Consultant with experience in conducting asbestos and hazardous materials inspections, airborne fibre monitoring and preparation of asbestos and HazMat reports. Alternatively, we encourage you to apply if you have experience as an Asbestos Removalist/Labourer and are looking to advance your career and become an Asbestos Licensed Assessor. Alternatively, you may have experience as a construction labourer and want to build on these skills.
Able to undertake field, lab and office work.
Valid driver's licence (mandatory)
Able to travel for work.
Have flexibility for some out of hours and weekend work.
Able to wear fitted disposable and half face respiratory protective equipment.
Able to work autonomously in the field and with a team in the office environment.
Able to use Microsoft Word and software programs for reporting.
An Asbestos Assessor Licence or eligibility to acquire would be beneficial however full training will be provided.
